WEEK OF MAY 11 TO MAY 15
FRIDAY: PTO Meeting (IN PERSON ONLY!) with College Counselor Alison Grill

Do you have college admissions on your mind? Are you overwhelmed, confused, or just want more information? THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!

Our amazing college counselor Alison Grill will talk all things college admissions at this IN-PERSON ONLY PTO meeting on Friday, May 15 at 8:30 am.

This year we're offering you the chance to send in questions in advance so Alison has an idea of what's on your minds and how to tailor her presentation.

Please use this form to send in questions BEFORE the meeting so she has a chance to go through them.

DID YOU KNOW? Next Week Is Bike, Walk Or Carpool To School Week

The Summit Green Schools Committee is helping to promote WALK/BIKE/CARPOOL to school week all next week, May 11 to 15, in an effort to be more environmentally friendly.

So take away the stress of the backups on Kent Place and Weaver, and encourage your child to walk or bike to school instead!

If walking or biking isn't an option, consider carpooling with friends or neighbors. The environment will thank you!

The PTO Needs YOU Next Year!

The PTO is already looking ahead to next year, and we need some dedicated people to help out on a couple of committees...

-- STAFF APPRECIATION COMMITTEE: This is an AWESOME opportunity to get face time with your kid's teachers! Help us show some love to our amazing staff throughout the year. Organize staff appreciation events (don't worry, you'll ask for volunteers for the big stuff, and the current committee leads will give you the calendar for the other events).

-- FLAMINGO COMMITTEE: Help us keep the tradition flying (do flamingos fly??) by helping to organize the flocking...put together the signups and get the flamingos out on their first assignment and back to school safely at the end of the adventure. (Again, our current committee has all the details and can share with you.) This one is focused at the end of the year only.

If you are interested in either of these committees, please reach out the PTO.

FLOCKERS Needed: 1 May 17; 1 June 4; 1 June 7 & 2 June 11

Some of our birds are going to be sad and lonely -- they need YOUR help to make it safely to their next destination!!

We've still got a few spots open (May 17June 4, June 7 and June 11)...time to gather your crew together, open your hearts (and your trunks) for some birds, and GET FLOCKING!

Will you go in the dead of night, in stealth mode? Will you be loud and proud daytime flockers? The choice is up to you.
