Inclement Weather Is Headed Our Way...
You've probably heard some rumblings about snow headed our way, and by the time you get this, it is probably already happening. How will this affect mid-terms and the school schedule at SHS? Please see the information below from Mrs. Grimaldi, and of course be on the lookout for word from the District about any potential school closings or delayed openings.
What if we have a snow day on Monday, January 26th?
Periods 5 & 6 exams will be held on Tuesday, January 27th.
Periods 7 & 8 exams will be held on Wednesday, January 28th.
Thursday, January 29th will be an E day and the last day of the 1st semester.
Friday, January 30th will be a single session B day and the first day of the 2nd semester. This means we drop the A day originally scheduled for Thursday, January 29th.
What if we have a delayed opening on Monday, January 26th?
The period 5 exam will be held from 9:45am until 11:45pm.
The period 6 exam will be held from 12:45pm until 2:45pm.
Lunch will be served between exams.
Extended time will take place during the lunch break in Room 316 and from 3pm until 5pm in the cafeteria for those students who need it.
The rest of the week will take place as previously communicated and on the school calendar.
What if we have a snow day on Monday, January 26th AND a delayed opening on Tuesday, January 27th?
Periods 5 & 6 exams will be held on Tuesday, January 27th using the delayed opening exam schedule listed above, 9:45am and 12:45pm with lunch in between.
Periods 7 & 8 exams will be held on Wednesday, January 28th.
Thursday, January 29th will be an E day and the last day of the 1st semester.
Friday, January 30th will be a single session B day and the 1st day of the 2nd semester. This means we drop the A day originally scheduled for Thursday, January 29th.
What if we have a snow day on Monday, January 26th AND a snow day on Tuesday, January 27th?
The period 5 & 6 exams will be held on Wednesday, January 28th.
The period 7 & 8 exams will be held on Thursday, January 29th.
Friday, January 30th will be a single session E day and the last day of the 1st semester.
Monday, February 2nd will be a C day and the first day of the 2nd semester. This means we drop the A & B days originally scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
The rotation of days for the remainder of the year will remain the same.
