Teacher Appreciation Week is Coming! Help Us Show Our Staff Some Love

Teacher Appreciation Week takes place May 5 - 9 ... let's spoil our SHS teachers and staff with some sweet treats! We'll be hosting a little something for them on Wednesday, May 7.

Gather with friends and family for a bagel breakfast and enjoy show tunes performed by students at every level, elementary through high school! Enjoy top-notch performances from our amazing kids and help us to continue to support performing arts across the district.

Volunteers Needed to Flock Those Flamingos

It's a Summit tradition: pink flamingos flocking local yards to celebrate and honor graduating seniors. But these little pink-feathered friends need help landing safely! We need volunteers to make sure they arrive on time to their destinations. If you can help with the flocking, please consider signing up here!

Green Schools Promotes Recycling Clothing, Textiles, Backpacks & Stuffed Animals at the Transfer Station

Did you hear? Green Schools saved over 1,000 used stuffed animals from the waste stream through collections at all of Summit's elementary schools in early April.

There are now 4 blue Helpsy bins at the Summit Transfer Station which take used, dry and odor-free clothing, textiles, backpacks and stuffies in any condition.Anyone may drop those items off there themselves.

Collected items will be recycled, resold, or reused, and kept out of the waste stream. Email greensummitnj@gmail.com to join the effort or learn more.
