September 2024
Dear Summit High School Families,
Welcome back to school! We hope everyone enjoyed the summer break, and we are looking forward to a great upcoming year.
The Summit High School PTO has supported a multitude of programs and events throughout the last school year. The PTO contributed over $40,000 to programs and capital improvements to enrich our high school community. The following are some of the highlights:
- PTO Scholarships for graduating seniors
- Student Travel Assistance for the language trips
- Hospitality appreciation events for teachers and staff
- ● Teacher Wish List items for classroom needs, special projects and speakers
- ● Beautification of our school’s gardens and grounds
- ● Programs and flowers for graduation
Please help us continue to support our students and staff by becoming a member of the SHS PTO. Join the PTO by clicking on the “Become a Member” button on our website, summitshspto.com. While we prefer you use our website to join the PTO, we also do accept checks. Please make your checks payable to SHS PTO and send them to the High School Main Office in an envelope marked “PTO dues”. Thank you in advance for your support!
Reminders:
- Please update your contacts in Genesis and choose to share your contact information with the PTO. Look for the PTO’s weekly e-blasts, they will be sent out on Sunday evenings through the school year. If you aren’t receiving the e-blasts, please email us at summithspto@gmail.com.
- Check the SHS PTO Calendar: http://summitshspto.com/. If you are so inclined, you can click on the “Sign Up to Receive Calendar Updates” to sync the calendar to your phone. Our first PTO General Meeting will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at 8:30 am in the Auditorium.
It’s a Great Day to Be a Hilltopper! Please reach out to us if you have any questions or suggestions.
