SUBJECT: SHS PTO Weekly News: Jan. 29 - Feb. 2

WEEK OF JAN. 29 - FEB. 2
2nd Semester Starts Tuesday; Looking Ahead to Course Registration for Next Year

The second semester officially begins this Tuesday, Jan. 30. And on Monday, Jan. 29 counselors will have presentations during Health/PE classes about course selection for next year.

A reminder to start looking through the Program of Studies with your students to discuss what classes they might want to register for next year. The school will send out eligibility letters in February letting you know what, if any, AP and honors classes your student qualifies for.

Note on Morning Dropoff

Attention all parents/adults who drop students off in the morning!

Please note that when dropping off students at the front of the school, you may (and please do!) pull up ALL THE WAY ALONG THE FRONT DRIVE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STOP AT THE CROSSWALK!

If cars will utilize the entire entrance drive, it will lessen the backup onto Kent Place Blvd. Your fellow drivers will thank you (and we anticipate less stress in the morning too. Win-win!)

We Need Someone to Take on Project Flamingo

We need someone to take on Project Flamingo (all those fun pink birds you see on lawns in the springtime) so we can keep it going. It's a fundraiser for the senior class.

This would involve setting up signup sheets for bird distribution and being in charge of the flock during their spring "nesting" season.

If you're interested please contact Amy DeGenarro or Laura Lameo.
